mysterious on many different levels. Her personality is not only
enigmatic, however. Beauty is only skin deep, and Rouge is a perfect
candidate to prove that statement true. Her ways are that of selfish
motives; She's flirtatious to many of the male characters - just to tease
them. She's well aware of her femininity, and takes full advantage of it
whenever she can. One may be able to classify Rouge as: on the "dark" side
even without knowing that she'd been involved in almost destroying the
world before.
Getting to know Rouge a little better, though, she may not be completely evil. She can be very sensitive at times, and even understanding. Despite Rouge's superficial appearance and the way she exploits her appearance to get what she wants, Rouge does go a tad deeper than her shallow reputation. One character in particular has stuck a weak spot in the self-serving heart of Rouge. Knuckles the Echidna: holding the 'tough-guy' persona, and having the utmost determination to fulfill his destiny, Rouge can't help but look at him a little closer. Knuckles may be "tough as nails", and even though he may never admit it, Rouge has caught his eye too. The two are so stubborn and unwilling to fold their reputations, nether will allow temptation to overcome them.
Knuckles isn't the only thing Rouge has a weak spot for - not by far. Rouge's love could be found in the shimmering beauty of... you guessed it... jewels. Her ambitions consist solely of attaining more and more of the priceless stones. She's currently on the trail of the Master and Chaos emeralds. On a note less expository, I'm not totally sure Rouge fully understands the power she's searching for. She sees the most incredible jewels that have ever existed and thinks only four words: they. will. be. mine. Completely ignoring the fact that with the power of chaos and all that it controls, she could be close to god-like.
Rouge has a knack for finding these jewels, now. It is unknown how she developed this skill, whether it's purely a sixth sense that she created through her love, or a physical connection she has with the power of the master emerald. Most closely related to a natural radar, Rouge has no trouble finding the master emerald and it's parts - no matter how well they're hidden. Among her other skills, she has acquired a technique that was thought to be exclusive to some members of the Chaotix: Climbing bare walls. She and knuckles ironically have many of the same abilities such as digging quickly to find the treasure they so frantically search for.
A fact that was hidden from everyone - including her partners in crime - is that she has also got a job with the military. Being the top agent the president has, she was called upon to investigate a military secret gone bad. With her amazing spying abilities, she had to find and learn about Project shadow. How could the president persuade Rouge to do something so perilous? Obsession or love. Either one of these drove Rouge to accept: because of the precious jewels she was offered.
Rouge's future may include one of a couple things: jewels or a certain red echidna. She'll always have what she's always loved though. I guess the question is... what has she always loved?
