Another skill that metal acquires is that he has the power to imitate the attacks of enemies, a technique used mostly while he was guarding the Death Egg II. Metal Sonic could use the Spin Attack, Propeller Dash, Knuckle Glider, Magic Hammer, Tongue Attack, Bomb Attack, Shoulder Throw, and Super Spin.
In one of the best Sonic games created, Sonic CD, Metal had been one of the key players in Eggman's attempt to take over the small planet. Metal kidnapped Amy Rose, and was holding her hostage in another zone named Stardust Speedway. He and Eggman had used mystical items called Time Stones, and were holding Amy hostage there in the future.
There have not been more versions of any of Eggman's robots than Metal Sonic. Throughout SEGA's progression through games, Metal Sonic had undergone many different transformations, each version many times faster and stronger than the actual blue hedgehog. His latest transformation was into a giant flying monster that resembled nothing of the original Metal Sonic. "Metal Overlord" was his name, and may have succeeded in taking over the planet if Super Sonic hadn't stopped him.
Metal is a very impressive machine, and no one knows when he might just have the upper hand against Sonic, because if anything would, it would be his "loathsome copy".
