History: When our red friend first
encountered Sonic, not even Knuckles himself was 100% sure of his past.
And he wasn't even aware of either the huge, and noble heritage he was
born into, or the
condition
his people were in. He had spent the last 6+ years as the
lone protector and guardian of both the Master Emerald, and Angel Island .
The past of this goes many many years back. When Angel Island was still
part of Mobius, a meteor was predicted to crash into their city, and wipe
out all life. facing this immense problem, Knuckles's ancestors found out
that using the unlimited supply of energy created by the master emerald
and the chaos emeralds, they could actually lift the whole city off the
ground. This crazy long-shot of a plan actually worked! It was at this
point that the city of Echidnaopilis was renamed to The Floating Island,
AKA Angel Island. There have been a number of guardians over many
generations protecting the master emerald, which is the only power to keep
the island afloat. Otherwise, the island would go crashing down to the
planet below, and be destroyed.
Knuckles
hides a vast, and immense history, and if I got into it, there would be
volumes I could give: Going into his past, and his genealogy, so I'll just
summarize it for you:
Basically, He has one destiny: to protect. And, that, being his only
purpose, he takes his job very seriously. he is quick to anger, but is
strategic and very determined all throughout whatever battle he
encounters. He does consider Sonic an ally, but mainly concentrates his
energy to the Master Emerald and it's safety. He often is envious of Sonic
in the way that he gets to journey and venture out into the world and
there is never a dull moment for The Blue blur... but Knuckles's destiny
is set in stone, and can't be shaken. Versed well in the martial arts,
Knuckles can defend himself whenever needed, and is one tough dude. |
