Charmy flew to Floating Island a few years ago in an apparent search for
new types of flowers, but there was a second, unheard of reason . Charmy
was a runaway! Charmy ran off to the Floating Isle, not wanting to accept
the Prince-hood forced upon him by his parents, the King and Queen Bee.
Only his very best friend, Mello, knew about Charmy's secret plan.
It was here that he met Mighty for the first time, and eventually he joined the Chaotix. His reason for joining: he and the others helped out Knuckles save the Freedom Fighters, and he loved the experience so much that he didn't want to leave. Only he can handle tricky problems in such a smooth and composed way, making him a valuable member of the team.
Charmy's light weight and small size make him a very difficult target, which is only added to by his ability to fly out of any rough spot. His one-of-a-kind "Buzz-dash" eliminate even the most powerful of Badniks with relative ease; using a Power Ring , this six-year-old honey bee is even strong enough to lift his friends into the air with him. He can shrink himself in size when he goes to fly and enlarge his size in normal mode - he is often found hanging out with Mighty or being the pacifier between the argumentative Espio and stubborn Vector.
according to him, as a "temporary" arrangement, he has now returned to his home in Golden hive Colony and finally accepted his destiny as Prince of the Bee Realm as well as reuniting (and pleading for forgiveness) with the family he ran away from.
